SPACES OF THE LOST
ArtTECH Group Exhibition
GROUND Solyanka Gallery
2 June – 22 June 2025, Moscow
The exhibition Spaces of the Lost reflects on untraceable, ownerless territories of inner, outer, and web cartography—spaces in which verification, self-affirmation, and the stabilization of meaning are forever impossible. These lost spaces, composed of flickering flashes of endless tabs, unreachable locations, and someone else’s memories, render human presence conditional and unstable. The individual drifts aimlessly through a coordinate-less system, suspended between the digital and the physical, non-possession and loss, inertia and indifference.

The only legitimized agency here is the capacity to continue receiving and processing algorithmically generated prompts, any attempt to interpret which collapses into an infinite loop of fractal readings. There is no archive, no saved data, no point of origin—only unmade traces and procedurally generated artifacts doomed to constant updating and deconstruction.

The graduate exhibition of students from the master’s program ArtTECH proposes to consider human modes of existence as spaces of the lost: a kind of anti-archive in which loss becomes the operational mode of perception.

Part I — Digital Oblivion
Lost data and dispersed user reactions scattered across the space of an abandoned internet. Virtual traces that will never be recovered.
Part II — Terminal 0
Urban spaces and artifacts that evade fixation. The impossibility of navigation and the absence of stable landmarks or fixed coordinates.
Part III — Other People’s Dreams
Multiplying yet never fully realized sensations, dreams, legends, and memories that have lost contact with their creators. Self-replicating narratives, perceptual glitches, the illusory nature of memory, and the programmable structure of the human subconscious.
